While looking for a job or an Internship(especially in fields where the number of candidates is really high), it becomes really important to get notified, as early as possible, about the recent hiring opportunities. Most of the time, companies don’t wait to receive tons of applications before they start shortlisting; they start picking up the candidates as soon as there are sufficient number of applicants for a particular hiring opportunity. So applying early to an opportunity is really crucial and this becomes really easy if you are notified daily about the recent hiring opportunity of your interest(Software Engineer, suppose) and your Experience Level(Fresher/Experienced).

Let’s see how to get these alerts via LinkedIn

1) Open LinkedIn, Go to Jobs section & click on Job Alerts

2) Click on “Search for Jobs”

3)Enter the “title” of the job and the “location” of your interest.

4) Apply filters to more particularize your search.

Filter for Job type.(After selecting the option click on show results)

5)Click on the toggle button “Set alert”

6) After the Job alert is created. Click on “Manage Alerts”

7) This is the Job Alert. Now go to edit (pencil) option.

8) Here you can Manage the job alert like alert frequency(daily alert/weekly alert) or the mode of alert. After managing the alert, click save.

Alert gets updated after you click save.

9)You will be notified via Email that the job alert has been created.

Now, you will daily start getting notifications daily(if you selected “daily” frequency in step 8) on email as well as on LinkedIn.
